We built a world-first AR web app for Stella Artois’ global campaign, letting users step inside Meredith Niles’ illustrated world. With no download needed, fans animated custom characters in-browser, shared creations online, and unlocked exclusive prizes. Blending immersive tech, design, and storytelling into one unforgettable digital experience.
Stella Artois set out to push the boundaries of their experiential campaign, and we were called to make it happen. We created a groundbreaking motion capture augmented reality app that not only brought their vision to life, but elevated it, turning their campaign into an unforgettable, immersive experience curated by JKR Global.
The Life Artois is a travel concept where instead of physical travel, we make the trip with our minds - creating a lifestyle element to their brand positioning. Our inspiration was to building on a unique design style created by Meredith Niles. What if we could seasmlessly transport our users into her world, enabling them to imagine themselves as one of her unique characters?
So, for the global campaign, we created a world-first web app experience. With no downloads required, users could instantly imagine themselves in The Life Artois world using their smartphine and in-browser AR, and then animate a character on any device, customising it in real-time with over a million combinations.
The experience didn't end there – users could share their creations on social media for a chance to win an exclusive limited edition print. A true end-to-end experience, from digital to physical.
