V&A
For the V&A, we unlocked Glastonbury's legendary archive with an interactive 3D map, letting users explore decades of iconic festival spirit.

Glastonbury is the UK’s most iconic festival, attended by hundreds of thousands people from all over the world, and watched by millions every summer. How to capture decades of legendary music, art, and activism in a digital space without losing its magic? That was all part of the challenge. We partnered with the V&A to create an interactive 3D map that transforms their vast Glastonbury archive into an immersive, explorable experience.
We worked with the V&A to create a clickable 3D map that transports users into the heart of Glastonbury. With over 500 colour-coded assets, the map lets users explore everything from posters and interviews to soundscapes and personal stories.
Our browser based web-app is an immersive way to showcase decades of images, videos, articles and personal stories from Glastonbury's extensive archive. To make it as real as possible, actual topography of Worthy Farm was used as to create the 3d models, resulting in an accurately scaled and textured model depicting the evolution of the festival over 5 decades.
This project delivered a public Glastonbury research platform, offering a new way for users to search and explore Glastonbury’s history and a new model for public engagement with Festival data and archive material.
